ABOUT ELLIE

I have spent the last 14 years working hands-on with racehorses, building my experience from the ground up across all areas of the racing and bloodstock industry.

My career has allowed me to work with some highly respected names in the industry, including Mark Dwyer, The Castlebridge Consignment, Roger Marley, Kate Grimwade - Godolphin Pre training, Charlie Appleby - Moulton Paddocks, and Robert Cowell. These roles gave me invaluable exposure to different systems, standards, and approaches—ranging from elite operations to the detailed preparation required for sales horses.

In 2019, I took the step of establishing my own business, specialising in pre-training and breeze-up consigning. To get started, I rented stables from Robert Cowell, which provided the foundation to develop my own methods and build a strong reputation for producing professional, well-prepared horses.

The business grew quickly, and in 2023 I expanded further by moving to Longholes Stud, allowing me the space and facilities to operate independently and continue to develop the business at a higher level.

My approach is straightforward: every horse is treated as an individual, with their wellbeing, education, and long-term future always the priority. I place strong emphasis on patience, consistency, and producing horses that are mentally and physically ready for the next stage of their careers—whether that be the sales ring or the racecourse.

With a deep respect for the horse and a strong work ethic shaped by years of experience, I remain committed to delivering high standards and continuing to grow within the industry.
